"Your drinking vessel is critical to the coffee tasting experience. The wine and beer industry has known this for years and has been using a wide array of custom-designed vessels for that reason."
Ken Shelby 2018 US Cup Tasters Champion
Coffee enthusiasts care so much about the origin, roast, and brew method, it just doesn't seem right to be pouring a beautiful brew into a plain old mug.
Design Objective
Create a set of complimentary coffee vessels backed by sensory science that amplify or soften certain flavor notes.
Evoking the Senses
For many years, the coffee industry has had to borrow from other industries like wine and spirits to explore the effect that a drinking vessel has on coffee.
Bordeaux Glass
Tailored for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other bold reds, featuring a broad bowl for ample aeration, enhancing complex flavors and aromas.
Sparkling Wine Flute
Designed for Champagne and sparkling wines, with an elongated and narrow shape to preserve effervescence and enhance the overall drinking experience.
Snifter
Ideal for strong ales, stouts, and brandy, with a wide bowl and short stem to concentrate aromas and allow for swirling.
Weizen Glass
Designed for wheat beers, with a tall, slender shape to showcase the beer's hazy appearance and enhance fruity aromas.
